Here is a directory of the web sites that I maintain. I dabble in web design a little, so if you like my stuff, maybe I can help you start your page. In any case, thanks for stopping in my little space here. - Frank Billington IV
Farley's Page
Dedicated to my 1979 Dodge Diplomat named Farley, and featuring extensive information and
history on the Chrysler "M" Body Style which includes the Diplomat as well as
the Plymouth Gran Fury (Caravelle in Canada), and Chrysler LeBaron/New Yorker/Fifth
Avenue. This was my first site, and it has truly gone bananas in its
scope, as it was originally only intended to be a small shrine to my own
car. 80,000+ hits and counting...
EMSyes.org
My first political action web site, dedicated to
educating the constituents in my fire department's service area of the necessity
of approving the EMS levy that pays for EMS services and ambulance transport.
Marty Knezovich
Home Designs and Construction
This site is still under construction, my progress is slow. Don't let it
reflect on Marty's work, though, his home deisng and construction work is
astonishing!
HuskerPedia
BBS Extras
I accidentally started a contest which became a regular fixture at HuskerPedia's
BBS, of which I am a Moderator. HuskerPedia is one of the most popular
Internet sites for Nebraska Cornhusker Football aficionados to get their latest
news updates, factoids, schedules, and otherwise connect with other fans.
This "extra" site hosts contest results, and other odds and ends
related to HuskerPedia's BBS.
Twin Cities Metro
Fire Directory
When I first moved to the Minneapolis / St Paul area I
found it pretty challenging to peruse all of the fire departments in the area to
see what kind of opportunities existed. Ultimately I didn't rejoin a
department, but I did build this site to help others in the same pickle.
It has been difficult to find time to maintain this site, a problem exacerbated
by the fact I live so far away from there now.
Frank's Incredibly Useful Pages
There's a few of these kinds
of things out there. But this page is mainly for me for the things I use
frequently. Nothing to stop you from using it, though.
Billington Family Photos
A page without any
external links to it other than from this page. This has many family photos and
generally serves as a posting place for other members of my far-flung family to
conveniently view photos so that I don't have to get and mail around twenty duplicates all
of the time.
Billingtons.Net
A home page for anyone named Billington, started on a whim between me and my dad. If you're named
Billington, check it out and be part of it
as it grows.
Nowcasting Pages by KCØNGS
- No longer maintained
I am a storm chaser, and I created these no-frills pages for
use by myself and others involved in Skywarn and storm spotting/chasing, for use
remotely or at home/office, to track storm activity and do short-term
forecasting ("nowcasting"). I no longer live in an area where
storms are a problem and have accordingly fallen out of the stormchasing
community. The pages were copied to another server as far as I know, and
updated from there. I have just never gotten around to taking these down.
The Pit Crew Online
- No longer maintained
A
reunion site for my unique group of friends from Foss High School in Tacoma, Washington.
It saw use for a while after our tenth anniversary, but in the following years
interest has waned and the site is now static. Maybe it will be revived in
a few years for our 20th. Maybe not.
Stone
of Sisyphus MP3 - No longer maintained
A download site for all complete tracks from the
unreleased Chicago album entitled "Stone of Sisyphus". It
took almost twenty years, but this album was finally released in June of
2008. With the release of the album, the need for this site is greatly
diminished.
Sites I built but no longer administer:
St John's Catholic
Community
The home page of my former parish, in the Woodland neighborhood of Duluth MN.
It hasn't been touched since I moved away and they indicated they wanted to take
over. I'm moer than happy to continue work on it, but all th passwords
have been changed....
Open Access
Technology International
The home page of my former employer. Most of my original site has
been replaced, but they still use a lot of the content I wrote, and some of my
graphics.
While the City Sleeps . .
. (Links)
The most comprehensive and complete list of links concerning the
rock group Chicago, which has been selling out concerts and making the best music for over
3 decades. My interest in Chicago flagged after they stopped releasing
original music, and kept cranking out re-release after re-release ad nauseum.
Twin Ports
Churches of Christ
Was the combined home pages of Lake
Superior (Superior, WI), East Duluth and Esko (both MN) Churches of Christ, of
which I am a former member. The Lake Superior Congregation is no more, and
the domain/site name changed accordingly to simply East Duluth Church of
Christ. Some of the content remains from the days I ran the site.
The Arrowhead Chorale
A choral singing group of which I am a former member. They do four concerts a year, about
four performances per concert, appearing throughout the Northern Minnesota and
Wisconsin area. For some reason, they abandoned the domain name (arrowheadchorale.org)
despite my repeated warnings of its pending expiration, but it can still be seen
at http://www.geocities.com/arrowheadchorale/
although it appears to no longer be maintained.
RallyNet (offline)
A
free directory resource for locating Church of Christ Youth Rallies in the U.S. and
abroad. I founded this website long before I converted to Catholicism, and it is now maintained and operated by
the Church of Christ HomeSite. But, I get a 404 error when I try to look
it up these days.
TheRisenOne.com (offline)
The home page for Eau Claire
(WI) Church of Christ. My only web page built for hire to date. It isn't
filled with flash and pomp, but cleanly and simply put together with a touch of
parchment and dignity, to the specs requested by those who asked me to put it
together. Looks like the domain expired after they took it over.
Town of Superior Fire Department (offline)
My former fire department before I moved, where I served from 1997-2000.
They got account information when I left so they could maintain it, declining my
offer to do it for them. They failed to maintain the site, and the web
provider eventually dropped their account. I still have the site saved
offline, but they have never called. Oh well.
